About the event

Dear NextGen, Parents,

Team KANJ NextGen is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Debate and Argumentation Mini Workshop, in collaboration with Garden State Debate Champions!

Designed for talented and committed students in Grades 7th to 10th to cultivate their critical thinking, embrace power of communication, and confidence, and inculcate parliamentary debate technique, this workshop promises to be an enriching experience for young minds eager to explore the world of debate and persuasion.

Here are the key details:

• Objective: The primary goal of this workshop is to empower students with the skills and knowledge necessary to engage in constructive debates and articulate their ideas persuasively.

• Participants: This workshop is exclusively for students in Grades 7th to 10th who demonstrate a genuine interest in honing their argumentation skills and are committed to active participation.

• Content: Throughout the workshop, participants will delve into various aspects of debate and argumentation, including constructing persuasive arguments, understanding logical fallacies, effective rebuttals, and the art of public speaking.

• Format: The workshop will feature a blend of interactive group sessions, hands-on research, learn skills to navigate the debate and constructive feedback from experienced facilitators.

• Schedule/Venue: The workshop will be conducted over a series of weekly online sessions between Feb 20th and Apr 2nd (on Tuesdays, 9pm), culminating in an In-person Debate tournament on Apr 6th at Cedar Hills Prep School, NJ

We believe that cultivating strong debate and argumentation skills is not only essential for academic success but also invaluable for personal and professional development. Through this workshop, students will not only enhance their ability to articulate their thoughts effectively but also learn to respect diverse perspectives and engage in constructive dialogue.

Registration for the Debate and Argumentation Mini Workshop is now open at KANJ.ORG! Spaces are limited, so we encourage interested students to register early to secure their spot.

For registration and further inquiries, please write to kidsclub@kanj.org.

Let's embark on this exciting journey of intellectual exploration and discourse together!
