About the event

Inviting volunteers to join us in Ocean sweeps Fall 2025. The event will be on October 18th 9 AM to 12.30 PM in one of the 80 locations across the NJ shoreline.

Marine litter poses a deadly threat to wildlife. Fish, whales, birds, and other animals often mistake trash for food, leading to entanglement or ingestion of harmful items like plastic bags, fishing line, and cigarette filters. These filters, which resemble small fish, have been found in the stomachs of bit and larger marine species, disrupting digestion and introducing toxic, cancer-causing chemicals into their systems.

We are doing our bit by joining in on cleanup efforts .
